Hey Four Barrel

Go to Nascar.com and please show me on the main page where their is a link to Nextel or even to Busch or to Craftsman.  I don't see any.  Now I do wear glasses so maybe its my eye site.  You have to go all the way to the bottom and click on Official Sponsors. Then through another page.  So if Nascar won't do it on their main page for their big sponsors, why would they do it for Canadian Tire?

I clicked on the mexico link and they show a picture of gibbons on there.  There is promotion for Canadian Tire.

Exactly, no direct link, you have to go and look for it, once you find it, there is Canadian Tire.

So how is no direct link a good thing for Canadian Tire again? Looking at that page, do you think casual fans are going to care if they see a page with no drivers, no schedule and news that's 3 months old?

ok let's get this straight......if you go to nascar.com scroll down you click on nascar local series.....then you scroll down to nascar canadian tire series.......then your into the site.........the nascar canadian tire series is not the 3rd or 4th tier in the U.S........it is the #1 series in Canada........which is a different country.........it should be treated as such.......

There is no way canadian tire is going to be happy with the level of branding that they are receiving on the site.........and hutterpower time will certainly tell..........7 months and this is the best that they can do.........no way..........

And let's get something straight were not talking about the France's or Mike Helton here......any company are only as good as their staff.....need i say more.........

and by the frick'n way......why is it there is a link to MONSTER.CA, UNIVERSAL TECH INST., BRISTOL RACE TICKETS, MAD DOG TRANSMISSIONS, AND SIMPSON SAFETY GEAR........AND NOT TO THE SERIES SPONSOR CANADIAN TIRE...............

Hutterpower you got to be out of your mind if you think Canadian Tire is going to be happy

OK no fighting.

OK here is my point Canadian Tire is really getting no exposure from what I can see and they are one of the big sponsors??

But from what I see NASCAR is the name people are sing and Canadian Tire should have links and the add on the Canadian site should be Canadian Tire and not Simpson racing products. Also what about the Zip code thing on the page we are in Canada and this series is suppose to be about Canadian Drivers. I told everyone a while ago that this is for the draw to US races and series.

We want more Canadian Content on the Site. It is all US and it took that long to take a template of a US site. I don't know I'm not impressed by the site and everything is for US Fans.

NASCAR does not own or operate NASCAR.COM. Turner Broadcasting does.
(Before that I think it was ESPN). Ted Turner paid for the rights. NASCAR doesn't choose the site content. Looking there for Canadian content may be futile. I think it's Nascar Canada that has dropped the ball in this case. Waiting for Montreal to confirm is no excuse for a schedule not to be out. The tracks that this series runs at hasn't changed drastically since its inception. They should be working on "next years" schedule while still racing the current one. A tentative schedule should be available before the season starts. Other short track series' can do this, why not this one ? Why is it that the tracks hosting this series can have the dates on their printed schedules and the NCTS website can be void of any content ?

ESPN never owned nascar.com , when Turner Broadcasting was purchased by AOL it became their property.

When Brian France was still just a young  vice president at nascar he led the sale of nascars internet site to Ted Turner for a pittance since he really didn't think this interweb thing was going to catch on .

You're right Pinecrest. It was AOL not ESPN. I forgot. My bad. I've got a great memory, it's just short, that's all.

I cannot for the life of me, figure out what part of "were not happy" ---do they not understand. As for teams, why do we never hear from them, so we could back them up with our thoughts and emails to whoever. As for the web site, what a joke. I guess they haven't figured out that we are Canadians not USA clones. This is our series,no matter what they do. >:( >:(

Live to dream, boys and girls, live to dream. I would doubt anybody at Nascar  in Daytona Beach even knows where Orlando is or how to get there, and you expect them to even had heard of a little country such as Canada(or Mexico or Zimbabwe or Iceland, whatever).I would be shocked if they could find Jacksonville on a map-and you want them to run a series here in Canada?

Not much information but it's there.

I didn't know where else to post this but I thought it was funny as it mentions CASCAR not NASCAR

http://www.nascarlocalracing.com/content.php?Series_ID=29

Under TECHNICAL SPECS For The NASCAR Mexico Series:
Brakes: PFC discs, AFCO caliper with CASCAR/Bicknell hub. Rear brakes are spec AFCO caliper and rotor.

$2600 for first place --- ouch -- you would think with a major like corona -- the purse would be much higher or at least a little bit higher than that
