2009 Race Series Who Have & Have Not Released Scheludes
« on: February 04, 2009, 10:32:04 PM »
Going through Race series for 2009 I have found these groups that have released their 2009 scheludes.
1)Ontario Sportsman Series-OSS
2)Ontario Dirt Late Models -ODLM
3)Ontario Pro Challenge Series
4)Ontario Legends
5)JCAR Traveling Series
6)Can Am Midgets
7)Canadian Vintage Modifieds
Series that have not posted are
1)Nascar Canadian Tire Series-NCTS
2) OSCAAR Series
3)Southern Ontario Sprints-SOS
4)ARCA Truck Series
Other noteable is that Cayuga Motor Speedway was to release their schelude Jan 1st that was moved back and was to be announced Feb.1st as of Feb 4th still no word.Makes a race fan wonder what is happening there when they keep pushing their release dates back.

I read that Cayuga was having to hold back the release of their schedule because with the way the economy is and some of the series losing sponsors they wanted to be sure they had all of them secure for their dates. If some had to cut back I'm sure trips to Canada wouldn't be a priority for them considering travel and getting across the border. Remember all those series usually have a clause stating "subject to change."
A schedule for Cayuga was posted on here bt someone else, but i havent seen an official one on their site.

3)Southern Ontario Sprints-SOS

SOS sched is close to being done...just waiting on a couple of tracks to finalize things.

South Buxton and Ohsweken have already posted their SOS dates.

is there an avss schedule out

Not yet...June 5 at Delaware is listed on Delaware's site though, and many other AVSS dates are listed on the sites of the various tracks they visit.

Does Cayuga want everyone to think they are a two bit operation or what  ??? The hype they have been trying to generate at least deserves an update on their web site. They have delayed their schedule twice now and the site still shows a Feb 1 release. They can at least update their site before everyone starts saying "same sh*t different day" with them again  >:(

I was on here earlier defending Cayuga when some of their plans were leaked out earlier and others were saying ya, whatever!  Now I'm wondering WTF  ??? If you can't even take the time to update your website with something as important as your schedule when you have been hyping the shows then what hope do we have that they can put together a show? I know its only Feb but this is when race fans make their plans. I know in my case that between racing, family and work I'm already pretty much booked up for the summer  :o Get your act together Cayuga or your rickety old stands will be empty again.

This Cayuga thing is really making racefans to really wonder is this track a go or are they pulling wool over everybodys heads again.Would you go buy advance tickets when nothing has been even realeased Jan 1 nothing a week later published on CRO but not on their website now Feb 7th and nothing.Hope racefans remember a couple of years ago when the schelude never did finish fans that had bought tickets were told their tickets were good for the following year how many actually used them who knows..People wonder why they get no crowds to fill the place would you spend Approx $25.00 for an advanced ticket only not to know if it is a race or not.Hope I am wrong but this whole schelude  is beginning to look like another bad piece of publicity if it is right great but please release this schelude now if not soon as one poster said fans have to make plans to attend these events at your track.

I bought season's tickets back in 2007 and used my complimentary seasons tickets last year and have been given a code to select my seats as soon as they go on sale again this year. Cayuga promised complimentary tickets and they've delivered! As a season's ticket holder I have no complaints!

As far as the schedule, we don't know what is happening behind the scenes, but my educated guess would be is that one particular detail is probably holding up them releasing the entire schedule!

Then they should update with confirmed dates or update their site with what is happening. Are you saying that they are willing to risk attendance for their whole season over one or two holdouts? When you are running on a "Specials" format and you don't have a core fan base going to the track week to week then having your stuff together, or at least having the appearance of having your stuff together, is even more important.
