does the track open next week? is the snow even melted yet?

I'll say it again. Cayuga is a "Specials" track, not weekly racing. I don't know about anyone one else but I have about three or four weekends left free in the summer already. I've slotted the ARCA weekend in because the date is on the ARCA schedule, not Cayugas. There are a couple more dates that they can get my money on but it is up to them to bring me in, not to rely on me going to all the different series web sites and try to figure out if Cayuga is there. Again this is just my thinking and I may be off base. With all the competing intrests for entertainment dollars and the economy slumping they need to get on the ball. Racing is on TV again getting people thinking about where they are going to go attend. The fact that they can't even put an update on their web site after saying Feb 1 (after saying Jan something) was the date and tickets go on sale tomorrow well.... If people go back to their site in another week and it still says Feb 1 then how many times after that do you think people will keep returning before giving up on them and make plans for elsewhere. Just sayin the onus is on them to keep fans up to date, not the other way around. I want to support this place, and I have with both my money for tickets and words on this site, but every year seems to be same stuff different day and their seats stay empty. Then again if no one else shows up I can sit wherever I want LOL. The fact that they weren't at CPT also says something. What a missed opportunity for them.

Am I the only one who feels this way or am I being too harsh???

 Hey longstreet
Yes, there is still lots of snow here in Cayuga. It hasn't all melted yet. lol

 Ernie

Take a pill. Some of the series mentioned on the Cayuga site haven't even released their schedules yet. Everything is tentative at this time. I can give you the complete tentative schedule if you really need it that bad to make your summer plans. Just don't cry foul if any thing changes. I'd like to see the schedule released too. Some of my plans may be affected by it. Should the track release a "tentative/partial" schedule? I don't know. But it seems that they are damned if they do, damned if they don't. jmho

I'm referring to the track posting a schedule and then having cancellations/changes made ala
2007. But I see the point of your post Thayne. Even a "subject to change" schedule might be better than nothing right now. The schedule was posted in another thread.

Racenut, like I said I could be way off base. Just stating an opinion that if you say you are going to release your schedule in Jan then say no it will be Feb then no it will be ....
Why not just say the schedule will be out in march and if you finalize earlier hype it then. I hope all their plans come about and wish them luck for a successful season.

OK... so here's what was posted for a short time on FEB.1.....remember, it was taken off shortly after, which could mean all is changed or just a couple of adjustments.....

To fans wondering about Cayuga schelude (2009) Feb 16th nothing posted yet but the big story is no NCTS race May 30-31 .For some reason they NCTS have dropped Cayuga makes a racefan to wonder what else could happen here but would not surprise me if something else happens This schelude thing is draging on for some reason .Looks like Delaware replaced Cayuga date just one week later from May 5-6 to June 6th.

Sorry that Cayuga date should have read May 30-31 not May 5-6 sorry hit the wrong numbers.

It is my understanding that Cayuga has lost both Nascar Canadian Tire races.  One is going to Delaware and the other out West somewhere.
