I missed that...
A few years back, when he rammed the wall at Flamboro, really hard,
he was talking to his family. His comments were, 'don't worry,
race cars can be fixed.' The car was flattend from about the mid
engine point forwards... He made no comment about walking away
from that one, just talked about the car.
I once jumped off the pit wall at Cayuga, fell flat on my
face (gimpy knee), and Bill ran up from quite a bit away,
helped me up, saw I was still somewhat with-it, but really dazed
(wrecked my camera on that one) and said, don't worry,you're fine.
Classy guy.
