I got there friday at 11:30 and managed to find a spot for the weekend.    Peterborough was peterborough ie lots of spins and dumps and some great saves on the grass.  I was in the infield for the LM feature and the restarts were crazy, you get the white flag you continue weaving the car all the way to turn three and then in mid swing jamb on the gas for all its worth and run like fun leaving the rest to try and climb off the bumper of the guy behind them and get going.

As for the grandstanding flagman he was doing a heck of a job if the objective was to out granstand the infield flag guy (how he didn't get hit by a car in the grass boggles me)

I am told that the thundercar non qualifiers were not paid on sunday after waiting hours in pay line, Ihope the checks really do arrive in the mail.

Overall, decent show I will probably go again next year

J.P. had a heart attack?  Does anyone know how he's doing?
I can see the stress from running that weekend's show can
really do a number on someone.
Please wish him the best if you're talking to him Spencer.

I know that for the first time JP was not in the pay out booth to sign and pass out the checks.  Given the pace of the weekend and the wonders of the weather and everything else it would be very tough on the body and mind for JP.  If it's true get well JP

Is that what the cummotion was all about late in the night?  I saw a pile of people run back into the pits but no one ever came back to say what had happened.  Sure hope everything is ok with JP!!!

Can anyone confirm this? I can see what the stress of last weekend
could do to someone.

I think all the people running to the back pits was probably fight night in the back field, all of a sudden it was pretty easy to get a spot near the fence.
