Some of you may recall that in my Kawartha OSCAAR report I said that after a hard crash, John Owen was more than likely done for the season. That was just from me looking at all of the damage, not from John himself. I talked to a member of the crew last weekend to tell them about a cheap '07 Howe chassis on Racing Junk. He surprisingly told me the car was 95% fixed. They jigged the car and it was straight and didn't need a rear clip. After replacing the entire rear end, every part was junk, and welding a few new bars it's ready to go. John was planning on staying close to home ( Peterborough, Mosport, Kawartha ) in '08 so not sure if you'll see him at Oktoberfest but he will definately have the #2 at Autumn Colours.
