Am I the only one that noticed that super late models are faster then Canadian tire series cars?
At our track any ways
SLM lap record 14.1
NCATS lap record 14.6
Those are still pretty impressive but that's a little weird.
The track is auto clearing its 3/8 in length so who else has noticed this?
Compare the 2 classes of cars and its easy to see why the Super's are faster. They run better brakes, better shocks, bumpstops and are only 2800lbs (58% LS?) .. all that adds up quickly. The NCATS rules still have quite a few of the OLD cascar rules from years ago that are very dated.. but they are slowly being phased out. Once they allow a better shock package and multi-piston brakes, you well see the speeds pick up quite a bit.
and the NCATS guys run there once a year, and maybe get 50 laps of practice .. in a year or 2 the times well be closer
