ADRIAN STAHLE WINS BIG AT FLAMBORO SPEEDWAY

Adrian Stahle had a race of a lifetime at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday night as the Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets hit the halfway point of their 50th Anniversary season. Stahle, with his Dad Wayne, chose the number '50' for their car this year to honor this long running Club. Just before the season began his Mom, Laurie, died suddenly. Struggling since then Stahle had everything finally go in the right direction Saturday night, winning his heat race and leading all 25 laps in the Main feature. Dedicating his win to his Mom, Stahle said "It's been a tough couple of months but I hope this helps put a smile on my Dad's face. There has been so many people that I must thank for helping us get this win tonight. First my Dad for all his hard work and Uncle Van for setting up this car, Paul Husby, Brandon Hauck and Mike Holman for all their help and support. My sponsors and supporters, Can-Am Fabrication, Bell Cartage, LARCA Custom Machining, and of course Lucas Oil."

Starting on the pole Stahle took the lead with Lucas Smith in second place. One lap later Ryan Fraser passed Smith for second. Brandon Zavarella followed with Darren McLennan rounding out the top five. McLennan wasted no time getting around Zavarella and setting his sites on Smith. Stahle was on rails and already had opened up a 10 car lead over Fraser. With 5 laps in McLennan caught Smith and took over the third spot. Zavarella remained in 5th.

Stahle started lapping the field with times in the high 14 second range. Fraser was inching his way closer as McLennan continued to run a strong third. Stahle was not going to be denied as he continued his lead. Lap after lap Stahle kept strong as Fraser tried to catch him. With five laps to go Stahle could feel the checkered in the future. Fraser was also running fast but not enough to catch to catch Stahle. McLennan, Smith and Zavarella remained in the top five.

The checkered flag flew as Stahle took his first win in TQ #50 followed by Fraser, McLennan, Smith and Zavarella.
Heats were won by Stahle and McLennan. Todd Cresswell won the 'B' Main. Smith was DQ'd for failure to go to the scales.

Of Note...Rookies Steve Murdock finished 8th while James Marche finished 9th. Marche leads the 'Rookie of the Year' standings by being in 8th place in points.
