Well not exactly what you thought but not surprising perhaps given the source. Unpacking from a move and found this story from July 26, 1995 on the very first Sauble Dash for Cash. Some familiar names at the first one.
In he Late Models the race was won by Andy Schmidt over Tom Walters, Glen Schurr, Ron Lipskie , Tony Baak and Chuck Lawler. Scott Steckly won a heat race.
The Challenger Feature was won by current Late Model ace Rob MacDonnell over Kevin Currry, Shawn McAdam, Steve Wilkins and Perry Lawrence.
In the Street Stocks Dan Wright was 4th behind Howard Bentley, Brian Torrie and Guy Boisvert. Steve Adams won a heat race but I'm not sure which Steve Adams.
