Anyone at Sauble Sunday night?
« on: May 21, 2009, 02:28:00 PM »
Was anyone at Sauble to face the freezing cold temperatures Sunday night, and just to throw in a temper tantrum from a not so happy driver....oops,(I don't know if you can call him one) at the end of the night.Car count was really bad ,other than the Can Am Midgets but what can you expect for opening night and the weather was brutal.Hopefully with the nicer weather approaching maybe it will encourage people to come and spend their hard earned $$$ not like us poor fools who paid our $$$ to go and watch heats with about a maximum of 5 cars each (what a joke)the features were none better either.Chalk it up for experience.Oh by the way,I wonder what if anything did they impose on the 88 LATE Model? See Ya!

The points are up on this page:
http://www.saublespeedway.com/Weekly%20Results%20and%20Points%20Standing.htm

Looks like they had 12 LLMs, 13 Four cyls and 8 Thunders.

The 88 LLM is shown in 5th in the points.

Let look at this this way, spin a car under caution after the race; get a weeks suspension. Beat the living stuff out of a fellow driver and get a slap on the wrist and a pat on the ASS! Logic, I think not! My view from where I sat in the stands is that the 28 was the the throwing the temper tantrum as he was beating on the 88 during the race.

Watch the language please gentlemen.
Thank you.

Shadow

I was not there but after talking to several guys affiliated with 3 different late model teams the punishment seems very over zealous. The car was even suspended for this weeks race ,it would not have been eligble to compete even with a replacement driver. Which only leads to speculation that the track does not want this car in the hunt for 09 championship. Politics may be creeping into Sauble as much more serious events taking place have resulted in no form of any penalty.

Did you say it was the 28 car throwing the temper tantrum......I really think not!!! Don't know where you sitting in the stands but I can reassure you it was the 88 not the 28 who making all whopdedo out there.

"sitting in the stands" ya right, he was sitting behind the wheel of the 88 car.
