Yeah this sure isn't right, the regulars who make the place what it is are getting hosed for $11.

I have a plan for the $11, but that pretty well cements my plans for next year and it won't be Barrie Speedway...

Just a question what was the price for the membership this year? and who thinks it was worth it?

It isn't the speedways fault..apparently NASCAR is changing things up all the time on them and they haven't gotten a concrete answer as of yet. this is from Jim at the drivers meeting himself.

I think the 90 bones with all the rain outs was not worth it, but if i got hurt bad, that million dollar NASCAR insurance wld sure as hell make the 90 bones worth it, so i dont mind paying it for that reason.

Tex, the TC travel series cements that for me, if it goes like they say it will...that is just too hard to turn down!

Thayne correct me if I'm wrong but... IF you were the owner of a speedway wouldnt all that info be sent way before now... and if NASCAR is changing it up all the time wouldn't you as the owner of the track be saying THIS is what was done in the past and this is what is going to be done now...jmo..If the owner is going to blame NASCAR well that just tells me that there is no leadership at all at BSW and they are going to blame everyone but themselves.

It's like $8 between Sunset and Barrie so it doesn't matter to me.

The insurance thing is nice too. I just don't like paying $115 to have my girlfriend help me with the pit cart...

Kevin the money that you have shelled out this year doesn't equal the amount of racing that anyone has done really... I mean if you ran at Sunset this year drivers with car is free Think of the money they are saving and Ya I know Tires but still add in the 90 bucks and the limited racing BSW has done and whos further ahead!

I disagree there Daisy...you have a huge event coming..you have to work with them, especially if you want them in the future...don't kid urself..this event makes BSW a lot of money...

Well myself Thayne I'm going the other way... Sunset is best 13 of 18 and I'm sick of using up my whole summer racing so that is very appealing to me...

It's going to be a lot different next year, if I feel like camping or whatever, we're going... If I want to race then that's good too.

Thayne I don't think that the track doesn't make money I just think that they are making money from exploiting the regular racers that go each week... After all the rainouts that they have you can't tell me they are in the black...Clearly this price increase is to break even or at least to attempt to.

the way my dad and i are looking at it is this, we spend how ever many thousands of dollars to go racing, so we wanna race as much as we can, and my mom is a super fan haha..she turns down the cottage and the boat to go racing..hell 2 weeks ago she told me i was going racing when i wasn't really feeling it cause it was so damn hot haha...

We used to do 13 races in 15 weekends from minnesota to montreal in -20 weather haha...never have i wanted to go camping more than week 9-10 of that....so i see both sides...

No I would have lost money... Because of the tires. They're more expensive and go away faster... Getting in free is really nice, but it's a maximum of $360. I heard some peoples tire budget went up over $1000...

But again the rumor is a bunch of tracks are going to the Towel City in 2010.

Well Towel Citys, resurface, best 13 of 18 and getting in free sounds very appealing to me. Plus I get change back from $20 for a couple of cheeseburgers and fries. (which are very good BTW)
