To get a 350 small block built to put out 400 horse would be huge money. Why not buy a 604 crate to drop in and it would be around 3-4 grand complete. If i also put a 4 barrel on it say a 850 dual pumper...how many more HP would that add based on if it just had a holley 500 2 barrel?

400 HP is with holley 650 4 barrel and stepped updraft headers on a dyno
not sure how a 850 would work on it

have found that if one over fuels the hp will drop, just an idea for you mike see if any of the teams have their old open small block for sale at a decent price. ps point of order guys they are engines not motors, motors are electrical, jusst being an a..hole

I think an 850 is too big for most 350 SBC... Bigger is not always better with carbs.

If you go to the Holley website I think they have a carb recommendation thing on it.

There is also some mathematical calculations I saw somewhere years ago.

As I recall a mildly done Dodge 340 was recommended using the calculations to require a 650.
