Event Schedule For Saturday

7:00 am Registration opens
7:00 - 8:00 am Hauler parking
8:00 am Garage Opens
8:30 - 11:45am NCATS technical inspection
8:30 Cars 1 to 10 by ’08 Championship points on pit road, on jack stands, wheels off, cars 11 to 20 by ’08 Championship points to inspection line, cars 21 and over on pit road, on jack stands, wheels on.
9:00 am Draw for qualifying order
9:45 am Rookie driver meeting
10:00 am Pit Gate “1” open – BSW Drivers, pit crews and VIP’s
10:15 NCATS mandatory Driver and Crew Chief meeting
11:00 Track services meeting:
Barrie Speedway Tow Truck Operators, Clean Up, First Aid
11:45 am - 1:15 pm NCATS practice session
2:00 pm Mandatory spotters meeting – NCATS Only
2:00 pm Main Gate/General Admission
2:10 - 3:50 pm Barrie Speedway Charger, Pure Stock and Thunder Car heat races
2:45 - 4:00 pm Pre-time trials Technical Inspection
4:00 - 4:20 pm Barrie Speedway drivers meeting. All classes, in temporary pit area
4:00 - 4:45 pm NCATS time trials, impound race
4:55 - 6:00 pm Barrie Speedway Feature races, Pure Stocks 20 laps,
Chargers 20 laps, Thunder Cars 35 laps
6:15 - 7:00 pm NCATS autograph session, on front straight
7:30 - 7:40 pm VIP Introductions and interviews
7:40 - 7:50 pm Driver Introductions
7:51 pm National Anthems
7:55 pm Driver strap in
8:01 pm "Drivers start your engines" and roll cars
8:05 pm Green Flag for A&W 300

Well that is quite the schedule. A whole lot different than what is on the BSW schedule. According to it racing for Chargers, Pure stocks, and Thunders starts at 4pm and does not say anything about heats starting at 2pm... I certainly hope drivers are aware of this schedule or there may be a lot of guys missing heats.... lets get the word out guys, you would think they would post this for the drivers on the website.... geez thanks for the info......you rock Barrienxtgen #9

By the looks of that schedule BSW drivers run heats first and then a drivers meeting, thats the cart before the horse isn't it ?  Also I do not see a practise for BSW drivers ?

Rick I would assume that the practice for BSW drivers would be slotted in that 10am - 11:45am slot from the time the pit gate opens for Barrie cars to the start of the NCTS practice but thats just my best guess. Cant see them not giving Barrie cars any practice or the crap will hit the fan I would imagine. There is also a window between 1:15 and 2pm when they might allow each class a 10 min practice but I wouldnt count on that one. Really strange that the main spectator gate opens at 2pm and racing starts at 2:10?????????? That hardly gets people a chance to get settled before racing begins and our home track drivers could be racing before very small crowds because of it I feel. Thats just my take please dont hold me to this as it being FACT!!!LOL

it does seem to be catering to the NCTS cars and not home track guys. The new owners have already had a kick at this can last year and things seemed to run very well, not to sure why they didn't follow that program.???

Things went great last year I thought too. But as long as home track cars are given some practice that would be good because track conditions change all the time.

Why have the meeting after the heats? That is silly I think.! Oh well, guess you can do whatever you want on the track in your heats....lol....

Going to be a busy day that's for sure. So Are all BSW cars kicked over to the other pit area? Because I am sure there is room for lots of cars in the normal pit area after the NCTS cars....Unless they want to put their haulers in the pit areas this year to allow more space for fan parking which wouldn't be a bad idea! They will have all that room so they might as well use it.

kahnefreak I think that they are parking all the haulers over where you guys pit so I would think that we are all cramed in the field.

dad hasn't mentioned anything. I think I would have to say probably not. Dad is happy running Barrie until the end of the year then he will probably do a few invitationals afterwards. It's a lack of money to run anywhere else. I am sure if the money was there we'd be following some of the boys out to Sunset.

I see that D J Kenington is also on the entry list for the Nationwide Race in New
Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.
Is he doing both races?
