Awards For 2008
« on: August 19, 2008, 02:48:45 PM »
i  think  that  sportsman  award  should  go  to  Allyson  Smith  in  the  chargers,  she  has  given  out  her  car  to  other  drivers  when  their  cars  arent  working.    i  think  best  appearing  car  in  charger  should  go  to  Billy  Melenhorst.  what  do  you  think..?

If I was voting at sun set it would be Herb Walters, First class guy, first class racer, Bar none one of the best race car drivers I have ever watched.

I am not a driver but as someone that is in the pits everyweek I wanted to post what my opinion is of who I think should win what...

CHARGERS- champ-I know that it is point based but would love to see little Crystal Doucette #33 win it
Rookie of the year - again point based but I think Brent steiler #98 will take it
Most Improved- Terry Tompkins #23 he went from getting lapped his first season (3 races)to being in the top 10 in points and won a second 2 weeks ago!  and a few top 10 finishes
Sportsman-   Tia Dale #29  always trys to be positive and is always helping people out even advice to the rookies.  Her car was broken but she came out every week anyways to wish all the charger drivers good luck.  Clean driver too!

PURE STOCKS- Champ- Brandon crumbie #63
Rookie of the year- Robbie sikes #37
                               Most improved- Ben melenhorst #2
Sportsman- Dave Crumbie #64  always willing to help anyone out at the track if he can

THUNDER CAR-  Champ-Frank Davey #49
Rookie of the year- Donny Brandon #15 Has had a solid year of racing
Sportsman-  Ken Denhollander #3  not only does he sponsor cars at the track he helps any driver in any division if the are having problems with there car! Clean driver and class act

LATE-- Champ- Gord Shepard #10
Rookie of the year- Kyle Baker#18
Most Improved - Rick "big dog" meyer #44
Sportsman- Al Inglis #69  This guy is a class act

Before any of you jump down my throat because either your name is not on here or your teammate or drivers name is not on here this is just my opinion, from what i see week in and week out.  This is not to ruffel any feathers just thought that I would mention and give credit where i think credit is due!
Cheers
 ;D

Well Wade since you challenged someone to mess with Herb's new monicker of "The Cheque Casher" I figure I'd give it a try. Hows this " Makin frequent trips to the bank, yet still afraid of Flyin Frank!!!"" FLMAO
