Why on earth would Ben Melenhorst get most improved............like really from the guy who won opening night with 3 wins(one was a DQ so really 2) plus 2 wednesday nights......sweeping both heats in the Sauble dash for cash and 2nd in the feature(to Mike Smith in that super fast neon). Was a serious points contender till the DQ....and this is coming of a year of I believe 3rd in points at Sunset with 7 feature wins on the year......Now in my opinion I would love to see Ben in a LLM over Crumbie.....Ben can straight up wheel that RWD 240....anyone remember the Frosty.....1st to 7th and back again inside of 10 laps to go.

Thanks for the mention Yorkie. When I saw the 10 position drop to 17th after missing a weekend I thought top ten was out of sight, but here we are... or here we almost are I suppose, not in tenth yet!

Can I ask what rock you've been under???  Chance Isherwood wins best looking car hands down!!! period most original and doesn't even use an after market nose cone!!! all stock panels and who knows he might just even pull off most improved aswell although Jason is a solid canidate but he's yet to win a feature.  time will tell I would assume Chance does get the best looking car IMHO

Doherty where oh where have you been hiding?got your head stuck somewhere where it's not supposed to be? if melonhorst didn't use that shameful excuse that i hit the wall routine in tech one night near the beginning of the season and please note no visible damage to either the body panals oe the rr rim he would have had a second DQ, shameful when a guy cannot even admit that he got DQ'd and then to boot call everyone a dirty racer because they won't give him the inside line to pass and thats even after admitting to the driver that won that he would have done the same thing, so why doesn't melonhorst come and play with the big boys then? personally IMO Crumbie can and will wheel a rwd better than most including melonhorst JMO though

Ok now that we've heard from the rest it's time to hear from BSW's most formost racing authority. I actually agree with quite a few of Khanefreak's picks and that is scary enough in itself!!LOL But very well thought out Steeve. Ok here goes!!!

Rookie of the Year- Billy Melenhorst
              Most Improved-Chris Free
Best Looking Car- John Crossman/Brent Stieler tie
Most Sportmanlike- Allyson Smith/Terry Tompkins tie
              Hard Charger- Crystal Doucette
              Perserverence Award- Mike Woodward

                  Best Looking Car- Chance Isherwood
Hard Charger- Jim Belesky/Dave Doucette tie
                  Perserverence Award- Troy "Axle" Potts
                  Best Marketed Team- Brad Holden

Late Models: Champion- Keith McLeod
Rookie of the Year- Rick "Big Dog" Meyer (wish I could vote for all 4 rookies cause all have had their moments)
Most Improved- Garry Reynolds ( 4 feature wins)
                   Most Sportmanlike-Robin Jongen
                   Best Looking Car- Kyle Baker

Sorry to those left out cause in my eyes you all deserve awards for sticking through the season with some of the happenings, but things really look to be on the upswing now and 2009 is another year.

My point is most improved?????? I would enjoy winning a trophy but how can you call him most improved like i said before. I haven't been at Barrie all that much so I don't know things play our every night. I seen been use the outside lane plenty when I was up there on Wednesdays.(which were was Mr. Crumbie the last 2 of them). And do you mean play with the big boys as in move to LLM......Ben pays for mostly everything himself....So I don't see him working and going to high school being able to afford a LLM. And I hope that he ice races again this winter cause rwd practice will be helpful(cause hes not getting alot racing a honda right now)

well Doherty let's just put it this way as the points leader at this time and for most of this season it is his decision if he wants to race or not especially this late in the season he is not that hard up to win an invitational just to add it to his highlight reel, he did win the first one, was there at the second racing the 90 car but decided not to risk his car at the third one, as well brandon has paid for alot of his own equipment with very little help, the help he is getting is to put the car together and see how well the team has done on a very limited budget i should know because i have been there helping many a day and night after my day job as i say i have 2 full time jobs my day job and the race cars so that should be no excuse high school and paying for all his own stuff or most of it by himself
