I dont think Stompin Tom plans on running barrie anytime soon, he sold me his old transponder and you need one to race. unless he had 2 ??? . how can they run invitationals with the nascar licence deal?

The only invitational is after the race season is done, therefore they can purchase separate insurance for the event and run it.

I see sunset has an off night for their late models on june 14, i wonder if Tom will race at Barrie that night. Certainly would be fun wouldnt it. I wonder if any of sunsets other lates are going. Does anyone know if they would have to put out the cash for a membership etc. just for the one night.
no one went last year....i think steve lang went on an off night either last year or the year before...

i think thats the only sunset driver thats raced an off night at barrie since nascar came in

Now my question about the wednesday night deal, is it $1000 to win either division or $1000 purse for each, cause when you add it up, it pays less to win Pure Stock on Wednesdays and more to win charger compared to Saturday nights.

Spence, I don't remember Steve Lang being there last year, but Rick Walt was.

You know what, from what ive been getting back info wise,i think we'll just stay home.Too much of you'll need this and that and have to do this and that to race.Sounds like one heck of a lot of red tape. We'll probably just come to watch.

Brendan the 1000 is indeed the purse!!! But keep this in mind as well, the new owners at Barrie are working quite hard on sucuring additional sponsors that could increase this purse by race time!! My guess is as it gets closer the total purse and finishing position break down will appear on the Barrie site. And this isnt hear say either this came right from Dave Simpson himself. I know he's already told me that the big Thunder race at season's end the purse is already substantially more then the 10000 listed on the Barrie site. He didnt actually tell me in so many words that they will be doing the same for the Wed night Pure Stock deals but I can indeed see that happening. I will ask this week and try to find out more about the Pure Stock/ Charger races and I'll be sure to let you guys know.
