Tillsonburg Outlaws.
Opening day practice is behind us. Some racers used the day to test and tune. Other's used it to see what was going to come loose or break before the season starts. Other's wanted to drive a bunch of laps so the first race would not be their first drive.
Near the beginning of the day we got the lap counting system set up. Although we may have missed a few of her laps, Kassy Streng from Courtland managed to record 242 laps on Saturday. That is 24 kms of going around in circles. Not to be outdone, Katherine Summers from Aylmer (who is a new racer) managed to log in 276 laps. That's over 3 weeks worth of racing in one day. These two girls will be going head to head in the Junior division along with Amber Meyer from Springford. Did I mention there is a class full of boys that will be taking these girls very seriously? No doubt the boys will have some plans of their own on just who is going to finish the best every week.
All divisions are set to go for the first race of the year in Tillsonburg.
Tuesday May 8 2012. Practice starts at 6:30 pm with racing underway by 7:15 pm
