Opening Night
« on: April 23, 2008, 03:21:00 PM »
so anybody have any "dirt" on opening night?   who might show up..... how many trucks will be ready for the new class...ect.

the weather is looking better...it went from  "80% showers" now to "60% a few showers"

so it's looking more promising we will get some racing in saturday night!

what would work out great was if it was delayed a bit...cuse I have to work untill 6, so soon as am off..I'm speeding my way up the 401/115....hopefully no OPP are around :D

if theres 8-10 by mid season i consider that a huge success

look how much their four fun division struggled in its first year

peterborough opening night...very unofficial i'm a little buzzed.

late models...10 cars

#47 walters
#48 brown
#16 conolly

walters wins a heat by inches after last lap outside pass it was sweet....

legends 20 cars # 88 i think won

mini stick 18 cars #2 wins

4 fun  7 cars only...why isn't anyone running this class there the track should put a couple together i think to fill the field

no renegade trucks...don't know the deal with that

a mustang won the king of the hill contest

what a busy day yesterday...I was up at 8am...working outside around the house till 12:30pm then I went to work from 1pm to 6:15pm  then went straight to PTBO and was there from 7:20pm and got home at 11:35pm..... phew...lol

anyway, racing was pretty good...it was nothing to exciting but it was good, great crowed ...I know it was free but never the less...great crowed.

I believe I can help on your results there,

#88 Bruce Grimes in Legends did indeed win

Mini-Stock
#2 Now I kinda missed the name but was that one of the Moroney's? because that was most definitely one of the Moroney's cars from last year.

4-Fun, for such a small count was pretty entertaining I would say.....#15 won.

Ltd Lates, were preety good that 2nd heat...was exciting..great save by J. Baker because Walters punted him outta 2 but he held onto it.... that was a great finish as Walters jumped to the outside and won by inches.

In the Feature to me it looked like Dwayne was getting in/threw the center better..but off and down the straights he was not match for Walters on this night.

btw, what a HUGE count for the trucks...a grand total of.....0!

does anybody know what happend? like I said above I was late so they might have said at the start........ like I had a feeling there was only going to be a couple trucks ready, and they were just going to do a little demo race or something...but nope

I was also expecting a few more LLM's to show up,  how many were even PTBO regulars? because I know 4-5 were not out of the 10
