Its a shame no one can call anybody to say, hey sorry we are blah blah blah whatever.
Real nice way for adults to act in front of junior racers.

You have no idea how these adults actually carry on and not only in front of the young guns!!!!!  Get use to it it is only getting worse each year,  rumour has it the famous Tony N..... has his hand in all of this once again too.
This could of been ONE HELL OF A series for our young racers to get  the basics of racing but hey just cause they are kids don't mean you can stiff them for there payouts and or give them cheques that are going to bounce!

what difference does it make who I am....  No payouts, I learnt a year or two ago when my son and daughter tried to race in the travel series, I also know that my friend's son that ran at GB in the home series had a few cheques that were rubberized and also a friend from London showed me his son's 6 1/2 inch plastic trophy his kid received at the banquet again.   so how can things be getting better??

So are people supposed to be making money out of racing JCAR?  Honestly, ask any racer in Canada if they actually make money off of racing.  We do it for fun.  Sure it's nice to get nice things for winning and all, but I'd rather have a blast on the race track and get nothing, than race in a boring class and get great prizes.  You tell me where you think that the money is supposed to come from for all the nice trophies and huge payouts for a series like this.

Your kids are not allowed to race with JCAR anymore because your son got penalized for rough driving, and then he flipped out on the officials, and then proceeded to kick his own toolbox and curse like an idiot in front of everyone in the pits.

I know the officials may have lost their cools then, but if you had a 15 year old kid right in your face throwing f-bombs at you and stuff, would you stay calm?  You're worried about the kids hearing the cursing and stuff, but I'm pretty sure your kids learned it from someone else anyways, possibly from their constantly negative father?

You have nothing to do with JCAR anymore, and you will not have anything to do with it ever again (which btw, doesn't hurt too many people's feelings), so why don't you just not worry about it.

I'll admit that I was still upset about all that stuff until I saw the schedule, but now I'm getting excited about the new season.  I'm sure they'll get all that other stuff figured out soon too.

I have never been informed of these problems with JCAR racing, though I have never been involved except for the fact that I bought a trailer off of someone who used it for their JCAR.

At MErrittville Speedway, the Go Kart banquet is held at the same place as the Regular Stock Car banquet. The champs recieve engines and a jacket and I think there was either $5000 or $10 000 in handouts at the banquet in forms of cash and other prizes.  The championship trophies are also huge. On race ngiht, teach class gets a payout but it is something like $50 for the winner. In the main class, I think it is $125. It may even be $75. People do it for fun, and it is not cheques, it is Cash.  You do not make money off of racing like this. Of courese, there are some races in the states that pay up to $5000 to win for go karts but this type of go kart racing is Huge down there.

As for the club as a whole for karting at the track ,it is run very professionally, as a form of fun and they kids/drivers are treated professionally week to week and at an exceptional full dinner banquet in a reception hall.

Maybe JCAR isnt like this, and it should be, but no one is making ANY money racing there. The track does it to break even and to foster future racers. Saturday night racing i s the tracks income.

I have been racing at gbs for six years going on my seventh an I have enjoyed every moment of it. I agree the trophies were a littler smaller this year at the banquet but the trophies for winning were much bigger than last years. And the payouts sure its nice to get money but it's like 30 dollars for winning so it's not like your gonna go bankrupt without it. I can pretty much garantee that 99% of the kids don't give a crap about the money they just want the trophies.
