Having just read about the new sportsmen car series, and Robin Miller's column on the state of chump car I am prompted to write here now.  It appears that a couple of sportsmen racers with little experience at running a series are well on their way to putting togeather a series in 4 or 5 weeks, while the high dollar brains from Florida appear to be falling flat on their faces.

If I were the couple of sportsmen racers, I'd be worried about the high dollar brains from Florida as they have a way of exerting "influence" to be the only game in town...

Just for the record, NASCAR See's no problem with the new OSS division, and in fact consider it to be a good move. Its my opinion that the new series will be a place to sell off the CTS cars as they become obsolete and that reason alone takes allot of pressure off of NASCAR and the Teams.
Who knows maybe by next year the OSS will have a new name to tie into the NASCAR deal.
How about the Parts Source Racing Series !!
You might as well keep it in the family.
And on that note can I say one more thing.

I do try but the CTC store closest to me doesn't usual have the stuff in the flyers. another bad example is the new big store that opened in Milton year or two ago. Huge store but I went on Sat. morning of a new flyer featuring their brand of synthetic oil and they didn't have a single jug of 5w30 or 10w30. I try but it is frustrating. I try to avoid Wal-mart but sometimes it's the only place that has what I am looking for.
