I was reading in the Sun today, that Jacques will be racing  for Bill Davis in the NCTS the remainder of this season, testing the COT, doing some ARCA races and perhaps run the Cup Series next year in the 36 car.

J.R. Fitzpatrick, D.J. Kennington, Patrick Carpentier, Andrew Ranger and Kevin Dowler were also mentioned in this article as deserving a shot in the Cup Series. I can come up with several others as well.  ;)

Mosport was also suggested as a possible future site for NASCAR. I've been saying this all along, prior to NASCAR going to Montreal even!

At any rate, we need more articles like this written!

Jacques has been in negotiations for over a year with several Teams and I am happy to see him make the Davis deal work, although I know Davis does not have anyone on staff that comes from open wheel which would have been a real asset to Jacques's Stock Car future.
I worked with his Dad Gilles back in 76' and I talked with his Mother Joanne last year several times regarding his future and this is a positive direction, although a tuff road ahead.
If he can follow in Montoya's foot steps and get his butt into anything with 4 wheels and fenders, the seat time will become a huge assett on moving forward.

Congrates to Jacques and his new venture... my only concern is if NASCAR is ready for this power house kid out of the gate. The Man will run the wheels off the car to get to the front and fenders- or no fenders-will move anyone in his way when it comes to directions to Victory Lane.

Look for Jacques to become and issue with racers, officials and teams as he only knows of the direction of forward, and knows nothing about racing for second place.. In short- The Canadian Version of Tony Stewart, and I for one think thats great !!

NASCAR has another Driver finally in the series that will speak his mind, regadless if right or wrong in NASCAR's eye's, but right in Jacques eye's and the fans.

I am a JV fan as well. I hope he does extremely well.  I have always respected him for his stand on being a Canadian , not a french Canadian. Tagliani and Ranger could learn alot from JV on how to represent themselves .
