It was a quiet weekend for the Ladouceur race team, as rain once again put a stop to the racing action on Sunday night at Cornwall Motor Speedway. Unlike last week, Ladouceur took in an event at another track, this week, only the one race was on the team’s schedule.
With the weekend off, we can sit back and reflect on the season to date, and with eight wins, it is hard to argue that the season hasn’t been very successful for the Alexandria, Ontario second-generation racer. Ladouceur sits at the top of the points at Cornwall Motor Speedway and the Mohawk Race Part Series. Both the track points and the Series Points come to an end at Cornwall on Labor Day weekend. In the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock points, Ladouceur currently sits in fifth place in points, but the bulk of the schedule still remains.
“We have a few big weeks remaining here at Cornwall”, says Ladouceur. Both Dad and I are currently leading the points in our respective divisions, and it would be really cool for our family if we could both win the championship”, says Ladouceur, referring to his father Laurent leading the points in the Modified division.
The upcoming weekend will be a busy one though, as Ladouceur will take his Coffrage 20-20, Mr. Radiator Auto Service, Fence Depot, Glengarry Truck Centre. Minimax Transportation, Stinger X Chassis to the Mohawk Raceway on Saturday night for the next round of the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series. Then on Sunday night the Ladouceur clan is back to Cornwall hoping they can finally get back to business after back-to-back rainouts.
