Pinecrest, my old buddy...
I gave Ashley a 10 out of 10 based on her performance which according not just to you, but several others, that she was going to be a crash fest, cause the big wreck, take out the feild, cant drive anything, totally in over her head.....etc.......etc......etc........
The 10 out of 10 was based on fact. She made the show, even though it was beacuse of a poor car count as you pointed out, and she raced in the first segment from the back right beside me because I missed practice and qualifying, but she did a great job for someone who hopped in a OSS car for the very first time and did so without causing any harm to herself, other racers, or the show.
In the Second 50 she had her hands full by starting up front but did not flinch, did not get in anyone's way and drove really well under thoses circumstances, and yes I forgot- finished in one piece without a mark on the car.
Next point- I am not protecting her because she is a female- I dont even know the kid !!
I protected the basching of the 36 car and he wears Boxer's just like I do.
I could not care one least of a drivers sex.... male or female.... If you can drive one of these hotrod's your a racer, and all racers take time to learn.

As for your remarks of me having a smile on my face I always do when I am at a race track.
My smile may cause people to question why I smile, and it goes like this.
1. I am happy to be here.,
2. I am so ticked off that I smile to keep the burden off of everyone else's sholders.
3. My brain ask's itself why I still enjoy racing and I smile at myself.
4. I am thinking of the Vodka Tonic I am going to have after this shit is over with !!

As for you being there to cheer me on I want to say thank you as that now makes 20 fans in total I have... My Crew, My wife, My Kids, My Dog, My Cat, and now you. I am on a roll !!

Thanks and at least now I know your name is Brian. Look forward to the handshake .....

Ok Pinecrest apparently you need to review you're own comments about the performance of various individuals at the OSS event.  Comments which you posted here well prior to the event.  I only pointed out that you were wrong on you're prediction of their performance you got the number of cars correct.  But as pointed out by another person on here that equalled the car count from 2006 so it's not worse then what they had it's at least maintained itself.  If you feel the need to point out my other "errors" that you claim I made by all means send me a message.  I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Before this goes any further I have to ask...pinecrest is your name Brian? I am sorry to you if people are thinking you are someone else that has posted on this board and other boards and thinking you may be someone else I can tell by the way you are posting that you are not the Brian they are thinking of.

If I am wrong then wow...then again I have been wrong before and we just blame it on my blonde highlites lol No offence to any blondes....
(just in case there are some new comers that don't understand that we kid around on here about my blonde highlites and also my broom as racewoman is everywhere. )

Honestly though people I don't believe pinecrest is one in the same. I  don't  always agree with everything that pinecrest has said but he/she is keeping it fairly clean. I don't always agree with what others have to say either. Nor do people agree with what I have to say.

pinecrest I too was at the OSS race and I did enjoy it. See we don't agree    Sure the car count wasn't as big as we all had hoped for but it was the first race and myself being invovled with CASCAR over 14 years do have a little bit of hope for this new series.  I believe Dave and the boys are doing the best they can. I hope NASCAR steps up and backs them.

As for Ashely give her a chance. I believe if you are going to run with the boys then you better have what it takes. I wish someone would sponsor Kelly Williams once again she had what it takes.

As for me I will just sit back and look good.  Help out on a team if someone needs it.

As for Dave you can count me in as a fan but in the OSS it will be Shawn first.

Donny will ALWAYS come first in the NCATS. What can I say I wish each and every driver the very best.

Safety, fun, and good luck to all but Go Donny Go!!

Anyways I just don't want pinecrest taking any crap about being BM if he isn't.

We don't want anymore talk about that subject it will be removed.

Racewoman

The last time Brian was here he functioned quite well for a period of time, I can't say for sure how long, but my guess is several months.  Then he slowly reverted to his oldself.

Do you not see the similarities to Pincrest, and his postings.

Even if Pincrest is not Brian I for one don't like to see this board thrown into disarray by his postings.

For the record ........ I personnally think that the NASCAR move to Canada is the worst thing that could happen to stock car racing here.  However I hope I am wrong but I believe that I see the events the same as midamerica I am just choosing to keep my mouth shut.

Oh don't get me wrong......I will not put up with any crap on here or anywhere else. I think people know that.  I just don't want someone being accused of someone he isn't.

Yes I have to admit the similarities are the same..this time I haven't recieved my usual bashing PM from him though.

At any rate just the thought of him really gets my back up so  idont' want to talk about him. Life is really too short to waste on some.

midamerica we will just have to agree to diagree on Ashley Taws you give her debut 10 ot of 10 I would give it a 2 out of 10 .

10 out of 10 to me is you unload set fast time and win the thing and collect the $. I dont give a 10 for qualifying slowest in a 13 car feild and running in the back and like I say I give her a 2 for not wading it up. For the record I did not predict she would stuff it in the wall or take the field out I just said she would be lapped as she was . She also did not run all night with out a scratch just ask Lethbridge when you see him this weekend she pancaked into him hard enough she almost took both of them out .

I wont be at Cayuga this weekend but I would like to wish you lots of luck . You might want to take a little of the loose out of the #71 since it looked like you had the Eldora set up in the car at Mosport. lol

The above photo of the #71 car is my photo. It's on my site at http://www.canadianracer.com/oss-june16-2007.asp

Does anyone know who's photobucket site that is?

He / she didn't even change the image name or size from my site. There's no contact info on the site for "realracer". I don't mind people using my photos on their site but I'd like credit for it. It wasn't even the best photo of that car. This one is better: http://www.canadianracer.com/myphotos/oss-june16-07/images/IMGP3081.JPG

Pinesrest- me old cod !!
I dont really care becuase you have your idea's and I have mine, and you words are more then likely more to the bone then mine. I am just trying to protect the kid as I am sure you understand.
I am an old softey, as I am sure you are.... I just want to see her have a chance at doing this deal without being in the spotlight and expectations of many.

The nice thing you could say is- Nice job Ash... you finished in one piece, your freind, Pinecrest.

The best part of the evening, as an owner of two classic Fords ,the  winners  wore blue ovals.  Great runs by the Robblee and McGlynn in both segments.  ;D

 ;D

Hey Dunken, you forgot to mention the great effort put out by Kenny Forth in the 86 Ford as well. He started 7th in both races, finished 4th in the 1'st and 3'rd in the 2'nd taking 3'rd overall!

 ;)

Opps I think is "duken" and you are right Kenny Forth was/is in a Ford and did a great job! I hope this series does grow. Who knows maybe they are onto something that may be much bigger.

Pinecrest- Did you work for Larry when he was up here running the Canadian Tire car or when he was in Indy partnered up with Tony Stewart ??

Curry would have rated her based on how big the check was that she was paying for the ride !!

If your still out of work you should call Larry and see if he can get you a job. He is down in Florida running one of Tony's Car Dealerships. He took the job after Folsum Prison if you know what I mean !!
As well - he is back racing a little. I dont know why Menards didnt hire him... he could have worked his debt off !!
