I see my new car in the driveway in the back of our condo. I wonder if it changes based on how many times the palce is accessed. Lets all start looking at Sunset Speedway and see if it updates.

I read a forum post from 2005 that suggested Google was trying to keep Google Earth info fresh at 18 Months.....

I dunno but I just looked up Delaware Speedway and it still shows the turn 4 grandstands...and they've been gone for 2 years. (at least one year for sure...but I think 2)

Week 2: The main pit area is almost level on the north side (no more hill to climb with a truck and trailer) and block has started to arrive for retaining walls where the pit grand stand is so no more dirt hill and way more room for trucks and enclosed trailers (Morrow, H.Walters, Poole, and Dario). On the north side the NEW concrete pads will be poured right at the pit roadway so there wont be any dirt to drive acroos to get on your pad.

The Racing surface is now ready for the work to begin, just waiting on equipment to arrive and word from the owners is thats happening soon (fingers crossed) and when it happens, things are gonna roll fast.

So aside from the pits, pads and all that good stuff, it sounds like the actual track surface will be done in time?  (Nov 5th) is what we heard I think.

Will anyone be invited to test on it for an idea on gear?  The champ from all 3 classed might be a good idea.

Charlie, I would guess the reason for paving it now is to let it settle all winter, so testing would be out of the question I would think!!! until next Spring.

I agree the track needs to "settle", but I dont think it needs 6 months worth!

I remember Barrie was redone early or mid November, and they had cars on it within a week.  Then it sat for the winter and they raced all spring on it with no trouble.

After 3 months of racing regular shows, CASCAR came and tore it all to hell.  (Nothing against CASCAR just the facts, and a strange situation.)

Just saying if they dont put High powred cars on it right after its done, and they use proper ashphalt, it should be raceable in a week.

Took a trip down to the track the other day and it certainly looks wonderful - pictures don't do it justice what this is going to look like when its done.
