Kevin Bridge Scores Podium Finish at Sunset Speedway's Velocity 250
INNISFIL, Ontario --- Battling up front all race long, Kevin Bridge left Sunset Speedway on Sunday afternoon with a podium finish in the Velocity 250 feature.
The two-time Sauble Speedway Champion picked up a third-place finish in the first heat, followed by a runner-up in the second qualifier.
Starting third for the 35-lap feature, he would grab the early advantage after the top-two cars got together, leading the field until the race's first caution at Lap 10. Restarting as the race leader, he'd battle side-by-side with 2018 Great Lakes Series Champion Warren Paxton, before falling in line in second. He'd remain there until the next caution came out for an incident off turn four on Lap 14. Restarting on the outside of the front row, he'd keep the runner-up spot until he was passed by 2018 Sunset Speedway Champion Daniel Montanari.
With the field strung out, Bridge was able to get by the lap cars with ease, managing the gap to those behind him en route to a third-place finish.
