PRO STOCK TOUR ROLLS TO RIVERSIDE FOR PENULTIMATE LUCAS OIL 150
 

(Halifax, NS, September 6, 2016) With just two races to go the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will make its third and final visit of the season to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday for the Lucas Oil 150. The high banked oval will host race 11 of 12 with over 20 teams from across the Maritimes expected. Fans can expect intense action on the track as championship points will be top of mind for all teams on Saturday. Please note racing will being one hour earlier with Atlantic Tiltload qualifying slated for 5:00pm. Box Office and grandstands open at 2:00pm.

With only two races remaining on the 2016 schedule the chase for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Championship is down to the wire and the Series enters Riverside with a new point leader. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) was leading the standings however a parts infraction following the Cummins 150 at Petty International Raceway resulted in the team losing 124 points dropping Blenkhorn to fifth position. Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) takes over the top spot in the championship chase heading into the Lucas Oil 150. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) moves up to second position and now has his sights on winning his first Series championship. Local favourite and reigning champ Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) sits third and mathematically has an opportunity to repeat his championship. Who comes home with the hardware and $10,000 cheque could be decided at this weekend’s Lucas Oil 150.

Fans will enjoy championship point racing for the NAPA Sportsman Series in the Highland Home Building Centre 75. With only two races remaining on their season, Shawn Waterfield (Sydney) sits atop the point standings followed by Darren Price (Main-a-Dieu) and Joey Rudderham (Marion Bridge). Daniel Delorey (Afton) and James Sample (Antigonish) are fourth and fifth respectively.

Tickets for the Lucas Oil 150 at Riverside International Speedway are on sale now. Advance tickets are available online at www.riversidespeedway.ca or by calling 902-863-2410. Fans should note reserved seats are in limited supply and only available in advance. Tickets will also be available at the gate on race day. There is plenty of free parking for passenger vehicles and RV's (no services, no reservations) for this event.
