I've been reading this CRAP for two days and have had enough so I will give you some answers but in return I want some of my own. A while back I said I was sticking with news, rumors and results and staying away from opinion as the site has/had gotten too far out of hand for me to defend my views from some of the true idiots on this board. Thankfully many of them have been banned.
First, the big question. Why did Connelly wreck Walters. It has nothing to do with any pass with Witty. While the 16 was passing the X or 99 ( not sure which ) on the bottom Walters decided to go 3 wide and body slam his way to the front, flattening the 16's tire. He was 3/10ths faster than any car there so why he had to get to the front on lap 4 is beyond me. All of us know Tom has a reputation for rough driving and I have seen plenty of it over the years from him. That's the way he drives. I have no complaints about it. It is what it is. This was not the first time the 47 has roughed up the 16 this year and she had enough. She said she wasn't going to take the crap and she didn't. At least she had the balls to do what quite a few other drivers have said they would do over the years. Why do I feel that if it was Vic wrecking Tom the reaction would be less biased. Those of you who come on here and say she can't drive are blind. She has taken the BS for years because she isn't afraid to stand up for herself. And as far as Balson telling her to wreck him. Not true. I know exactly what was said and what transpired and all of the other supposed facts in this thread are heresay and taken out of context. There, the answer to the big question.
Now I want some answers. What tracks have banned the 16? If you are referring to the Sunset incident last year you are wrong. The track owner actually apologized for the way the incident was handled by his officials and for the conduct of the other racer and crew involved. She was asked back but declined. Then there was the Don Hart incident at Peterborough. He blocked and blocked for laps and finally she got into him. If he can't pick a line he got what he deserved.
Lastly, how can anyone who knows anything about racing say she can't drive? Saying that someone in a Chevette could beat her is laughable. The equipment she is up against is far superior to hers and she still can get the job done. I have watched her get bounced around for years by the guys. Witness last years Autumn Colours. The guys think they can push her around and get pissed when she pushes back.
Wrecking the 47 while leading intentionally was not the right time to get Walters back, I can't argue that. If the roles were reversed I can guarantee that everyone on the board would be complimenting Tommy. But face it . Tom lives by the sword. Sunday he died by it.
OK guys, I've said my piece. Now, RIP ME ALL YOU WANT, I'M EXPECTING IT AND DON'T CARE. You can have your opinion, warped and unfactual as it is, and I can have mine. Reading all the Sunset/Barrie garbage and alot of the other BS on the board over the past few months has really pissed me off and this has finally set me off. And BTW don't try to goad me into a response. It won't come. I just can't wait to get home from work tomorrow to read the insults
I hope the officials from pto speedway read this and JP has any balls at all to take the appropriate action.I like you or any one else has their opinion on certain events and may vary drasticly in many ways.But the fact remains that she did in fact inentionally wreck another driver.What if this other driver was hurt seriously during this random act of stupidity.I really dont care who the drivers are that were involved but this type of total disrespect for the safety of the other competetors must be stopped before someone is seriously hurt or need i say killed. I just hope that something is done to prevent anything of this nature from continueing in the future.
I wonder if JP will act on this.
