So the first night is done, how do we think it went
« on: May 11, 2008, 12:52:50 AM »
So we all had a chance to get the race bugs off and get a good solid night o racing in. Just wanted to see what everyone thought about it. For myself I would have to say that things went good to bad to and then the wheels fell off. The feature was totaly diffrent, didn't even seem like it was the same car as during the heats.

Ok this is just a quick results run down as I had it!!! Full report to follow later on!! Havent slept in 72 hours so bear with me, Late Model feature was 1st Shepherd, 2nd Baker, 3rd Allan Inglis, 4th Jeff Walt, 5th Mcleod.  Heats to Baker, Shepherd, #2 Mike Brown, and #8 Dave Lewis. Thunder feature it was Doucette, Tremblay, Davey, Holden, and Johnston. Heats to Tremblay, Johnston, Davey, and #13 Rick Walt. Pure Stock feature to Ben Melenhorst followed by Mike Meyer, Tom Milligan, Bryan Penny, and Brandon Crumbie. Heats to Melenhorst, T. Milligan, Meyer, and Dave Crumbie. Charger won by #15 Mike Burtoo, 2nd Desiree Walt, Mike Woodward, Chrystal Doucette, and #77 Scott Leclerc rounding out the top 5. Heats to Burtoo, Leclerc, Doucette, and #66 Chris Free. Was about 1500- 2000 fans on hand, somewhere in that range if I was guessin!!! Also I told most of you last night and prior I would no longer be doing the reports on the Barrie site this season!! After a brief chat with one of the new owners I will be returning after all!!! Just wanted to clear that up so my race buddies dont think I was yanking their chain last night!!! LOL Will do some more in depth reports later on this afternoon.

Car counts were 19 Late Models, 25 Thunders, 15 Pure Stocks, and 19 Chargers, could of missed a couple along the way but I think that is fairly accurate!!!!

who did waston get tangled with
Well Brandon had a pretty tough night really, first heat #97 slowed on a bad restart and #28 piled into him #44 into him and Brandon into the 44!! Second heat Brandon rocked!!! He fell behind Lewis a bit off the start but began to put huge pressure on him by late in the race and almost got him outta the last corner to finish 2nd!!! The worst of his damage came feature time!! Young Baker got loose outta two and Brandon went up over the front of him tearing off at least past of the nose!! Car was a wreck by the end of the night
