melso mafia--- it is easy to say we would do this or that if this was happening. seems to me that this is stirring the pot. has for not having the invitational why does Barrie have to put it on. why could the drivers not do it. when the club told us that we could only have a street stock invitational if the drivers put it on we did it,this is our sixth annual one after several years of not having one,it has turned into one of the top five events of the year.

i know theres no invitationals at barrie this year but if there were we would welcome everybody...that's all i meant by that...i think we should still have invitationals. the end of the year one at barrie was always fun

for sure...it was always the most fun....Even when i wasn;t racing it was the one race i wouldn;t miss

Went to races thurs. night, really enjoyed them even though there was no lates.Real good car count in all classes.Really suprised to see so many cars from so many other tracks.Tracks that had cars represented included sauble, flamboro, barrie, sunset, kawartha and mosport, might have been one more but didnt recognize all of them.Crowd was fairly small but bigger than last thurs.,huge pit crowd made up for it.Overall from my point of view, great night out.

Barrie is not even running invitationals (not the Nascar thing to do) and as for any car welcome to race a Barrie invitational, when they did have them, I suppose that could be true unless you have #45 on your door or are a Honda from Sunset.

i still think Barrie cars should have been able to go. Barrie will never disallow any car from any track! So if anybody ever wants to come for an invitational in the future from Sunset your all more then welcome

I like my Malibu body, it's old skool and I have 2 more Malibu's + lots of spare panels. The cars are harder to find than they were, but they're still out there... I just buy the cars when I find them for a decent price. If they are bad enough to be cut up for panels the cars are pretty much worthless anyways. Monte / Regal / Cutlasses are even easier to find... but I like the Malibu style... IMHO.

well how did the invitational go? how many cars raced in each division. Maybe cars from far away wouldn't have come because there was a threat from rain.

You can't use a Camaro chassis only metric G-body chassis. I think the biggest advantage of the New Gen cars is the weight. Most of the bodies are stock at the top of the fender, door or quarter & then run sheet metal because the stock body would be too short. Combine that with the tin kit & it shaves allot of weight which you can then place where you want it. But then there is a weight penalty for running a built motor so it all evens out.

so would i be able to take my camero and stretch a Pontiac body on to it and change nothing else as long as safety rule are followed. this assumes you allow cameros if not insert montecarlo

power train is the same? no fuel injection no six cyclinders? i thought i read the rules that wheel base could be 103 and 6 cyclinders with a wieght break. maybe i am confusing a different class here. not wanting to start a fight it is just we are boxing with shadows here and do not want to shot ourselves in the foot. i realize we will not make everyone happy i just want to pi** off the smallest amount of teams as little as possible but try and bring the class into the 21st century.thanks for your input guys.
