Super DIRTcar Big-Block Series in town this Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway this Sunday!

Cornwall, Ont –Thursday, June 23, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – One of the biggest events of the 2016 season is upon us as the Super DIRTcar Big Block Series is in town this coming Sunday with all the stars that run this series along with a complete race program as the Pro-Stock will have a night off. This great event will be sponsored by Mel Valade Backhoe.

Coming off a big win last night in round 2 of the Series at Williams Grove, Matt Sheppard will lead a group of very talented Big Block drivers to Cornwall in which we can include, Billy Decker, Tim Fuller, Jimmy Phelps, Stewart Friesen, Larry Wight, Brett Hearn, Mat Williamson, Max McLaughlin, Pete Britten, Pat Ward, Danny Johnson, Ryan Arbuthnot, Erick Rudolph as well as several runners from Quebec such as David Hebert, Yan Bussiere, Steve Bernard and JF Corriveau.

Our local drivers will be looking into upsetting the Super DIRTcar Series regulars as Carey Terrance, Brian McDonald, Chris Raabe, Mario Clair, Kyle Dingwall, Lance Willix, Joel Doiron, Corey Wheeler, Gabriel Richer and company. With several invaders along with our core group of cars, we can expect to reach the magical number of 40 participants in order to qualify for the 100-lap event paying $6,000.

A complete race program for the other divisions is on tap as the Pro-Stock will have a night off after running a busy weekend up in Quebec for the Ultimate Pro-Stock Series.

The pit gates will open at 2pm and costs will be 45$ in the pit area. General admission will open its doors at 3pm and costs will be $35 for adults, 18$ for seniors and only 2$ for 16 years old and younger. Time trials are scheduled for 6:30pm as the first heat will be run at 7pm sharp.
