The Seaway-Lussier Sportsman and Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series back in action this weekend!

Cornwall, Ont – Tuesday, July 8, 2014 – Martin Bélanger – Both the Seaway-Lussier GM Performance Sportsman and Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series are back in action this weekend at three different tracks. The Sportsman will travel to Quebec for a double header while the Pro-Stock will be at Mohawk International Raceway.

Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond will host round two and three of the Seaway-Lussier GM Performance Sportsman Series as both events will be 50-lap races this Friday and Saturday. Defending series champion and initial winner at Brockville, Mathieu Desjardins will look to continue his success in the series. Last year Desjardins had swept both events paving the way for his title. Competition will be tough at both venues as local top runners such as Desjardins, Dany Gagné, Jonathan Desilets, Guy Ouellette, Kaven Poliquin, Martin Pelletier and several other will defend home turf against some of the best drivers from Eastern Ontario in Shane Pecore, Joey Ladouceur, Corey Wheeler, Mike Maresca and other open wheel talents.

The Pro-Stocks will visit Mohawk for the first time this season with the Mohawk Race Parts Series, Stephane Lemire won the initial event in Cornwall earlier in May. A good field of cars is expected including regular runners from Cornwall such as Stephane Lebrun, Dave Bissonnette, Jocelyn Roy, George Renaud, Eli Gilbert and will attract drivers from Autodrome Granby in Lemire, Bruno Cyr, Richard Bertrand and others. A field of 20 cars and more is expected for the 40-lap event.

A lot of action at each venue with good choices for fans on Friday with the Sportsman in Granby and Pro-Stock in Mohawk and on the following night the Sportsman continue their quest at Drummond. Be sure to support your local series and visit these great speedways!
