Go Nuclear Late Models Series and Autograph Night this Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont –Thursday, June 30, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – Another big event at Cornwall Motor Speedway this Sunday as the Go Nuclear Late Model Series will be in town along with the always popular Autograph night as Archers Poultry will be the sponsor of the evening that will also see the Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro-Stock and Mini-Stock in action.

Just like the Super DIRTcar Big Block Series last week, the Go Nuclear Late Model Series will make their annual stop to Cornwall after missing the race last year because of Mother Nature. Phil Potts had won a barnburner over Adam Turner during the last visit in 2014. These two drivers will lead a field of great drivers such as current point’s leader Charlie Sandercock. Late Models drivers coming from the Brighton area as well as Central NY, should assemble a very competitive field for the 30-lap event.

Also on the card, is the very popular autograph and photo night with the drivers at intermission time, young and older ones have a great chance to interact with their favourite driver.

The Bandit Motorsports Modifieds will have a regular night as the point’s battle is pretty tight between 4 drivers as Carey Terrance leads the way over Brian McDonald, Chris Raabe and Mario Clair. Only 25 points separates the top 4 drivers. A 30-lap event is scheduled.

Veteran runner, Shane Pecore solidified his lead in the Tracy Wheeler Storm Realty Sportsman division by winning last week’s event. He holds a 14-point advantage over Tyler Givogue. The Sportsman will run their regular 25-lap event as the Novice Sportsman will have a night off.

Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock are making a return after a week’s absence with a 20-lap affair as the Polar Sound DJ Services Mini-Stock will run their regular 12-lap feature race.

The pit gates will open at 4pm and costs will be 30$ in the pit area. General admission will open its doors at 5pm and costs will be $20 for adults, 10$ for seniors and only 2$ for 16 years old and younger. The first heat will be run at 7pm sharp.
