Wally Wilson Caps off Season with Pair of Top-10 Finishes at Frostoberfest

Wally Wilson’s busy season of racing in both OSCAAR Midget tours came to a close on Saturday at Frostoberfest with a pair of top-10 finishes.

Behind the wheel of his OSCAAR Midget, Wilson started off the day by going around on Lap 7 of his only heat en route to a fourth place finish. Starting mid-pack for the feature, Wilson looked set to make up ground, battling Shawn Stanley for ninth as of Lap 2. He was able to get the spot, passing another pair of cars over the next couple of laps to be seventh by Lap 10. He was unable to make up further ground in the final laps, crossing the finish line in seventh.

Behind the wheel of his OSCAAR Pro Midget, he finished fourth in his only heat. The feature didn’t start off accordingly, as he was one of three cars to spin on the opening lap. From there on, though, he was able to steadily make up ground, moving up to sixth by Lap 3. He was able to put down some solid laps through the rest of the 15-lap event, crossing the finish line in sixth.
