ok not canadian but a big ebough story i felt to be posted here, full story at speed.com. this sucks.

ya its almost as big as ascott park or bakersfield closing.  Ive been to lots of races at manzie,    wathcing the outlaws and the non wing cars of Billy Boat and the Tempe tornado leland mcspadden, and of course jj yeley...ryan newman, and tony stewart.  Phoenix has some new tracks in the area now,  apparently the canyons is a nice dirt track.

Canyon is a nice track...but it ain't Manzy...and it ain't new either...I went to both Canyon and Manzy when I was a kid.

The closing of the track was more or less inevitable the way Phoenix has grown over the past 15-20 years...It sucks that they can't at least finish the season though.

did the canyons get a face lift a couple years ago...i heard kenny schrader sunk some cash into it?
