I was just on the sunset speedway site, and I see they have advertised the most prestigious event of the year. The don biederman oscaar special. How did they do that?

I also checked out the sunset website and looked at their payouts for the upcoming race season.Incredible purses in all classes.Almost double and triple what other tracks in ontario are paying.Almost embarrasing for the other tracks in ontario.Why is it that sunset can afford to pay such awsome purses and the other tracks cant even come close.

I will hazard a guess??? And I'm just goin out on a limb here;;;;;;; But are these purses gonna actually materialize???...... remains to be seen........

Well lets say they do materialize,how many drivers in all classes would be tempted to race there.I guess the real question should be , how many drivers would be left to run at the other tracks.

I guess we'll find out on opening night. Their only paying big for specials. Regular racing pays $650 to win

I personally am not worried about that scenario!!!! More about the status of THE STOMPER!!! And me best intelligence says hes already joining the best field of LLM in Ontario that was already at BSW!!!! Â WINK WINK

Isnt that still 50% more than what barrie pays on a regular night.

Now that would be a tremendous gain for barrie speedway. Great for the owners and even greater for the race fans.

I haven't seen the pay outs for BSW for 2009. Â I don't know about the other racers, but I don't race for the money (its nice BUT) We race at a fair,tight, competitive track. And we have fun. If your in racing to make money, you need to rethink things.

I dont think theres but a small handfull of racers that actually come close to breaking even at the end of a race season,but when a guy offers super purses that sure helps the bottom line come the end of the season.
