This week has been a chill week thus far. Last Friday we put the motor back together and fired her up. We are not done with the finishing touches on the motor, like final setting of the timing and putting the new plugs and wires on, but it sounds great already! On Sunday we took the car to the guys house who is setting the car up and he has been going on it since then. Because the Thunder Car had been gone for a few days we got the mustang out and pulled the motor.

We had oil pressure issues at Fall Colours but because of the whole being there already deal, we decided to run it anyways. 50 laps at 8000RPM with 15 pounds of oil pressure and guess what? It just needed new bottom end crank bearings. Royal Purple, I feel, saved the motor and recommend it to all of you racing out there. It is more expensive, but in the end saved us a crank and who knows what else!

That motor is all put together and was finished last night. It will be in Thursday night hopefully and, if all goes well both cars will be at practice.

Tonight I am heading to meet my car and put it on the scales and get it all scaled. The goal is to have that done tonight and bring it home with us, because the next few nights are expected to be late ones to get the small stuff done in time for practice.

Saturday has been a long time coming since we started in January, but it is also a little nerve-wracking as well. Hopefully I can do well and we can get the car close Saturday to where minor stuff is done to get it just right on race day.

Next week I will actually be saying something after I have been on the track! 'Bout time!
