A.J. Emms Posts First Career OSCAAR Top-Five at FTMS

On Saturday night at Full Throttle Motor Speedway, A.J. Emms would post his first career Hoosier OSCAAR Modified top-five finish.

Emms started off the evening by posting the ninth quickest time in time trials at 12.981 seconds. After solid effort in his heats, he was set to have a good run in the feature.

The beginning of the feature was a little rough with some pushing and shoving, but it wouldn’t be accepted by Emms. Emms battled hard and strong, leading 21 laps in the beginning stages of the 50-lap feature at FTMS. He would fall back a couple spots in the second half of the race, finishing fifth.

For Emms, it marks his first OSCAAR top-five finish and his second top-10 of the season. He was also the top-rookie of the race, winning a bonus $150 courtesy of Sheila Eccles for Reddon Insurance.

The next OSCAAR event is scheduled at Sunset Speedway on June 27. Emms has finished 10th and 11th in his previous two starts on the 1/3 mile oval in Innisfil, Ontario.
