With just one or two race night left in the 2014 points run at Full Throttle there are some close battles to keep your eye on. But the racing at Full Throttle is far from over once these runs are done as the plan is to go till Oct 24th to give drivers and fans their race fix well into the fall!
Open Wheel Modified – this Friday Sept 12th will determine the points champion as #8 Gary McLean (491 points) goes into the night with the lead his next closest competitor is #23 Paul Milligan (462) just 29 points back. But Milligan is only 1 point ahead of #36 Gary Elliot (461) for that second spot who is followed close behind by #19K John Karley (435) in the fourth spot just 26 points back of Elliott.
Pro Late Model – with just one night left (Sept 19th) #11 Cole (724 points) holds a slim 4 point advantage over second place contender #1 Kent Nuhn (720) who’s car has really been coming on of late which should make for a great end of season race. In third place #40 Mark Dixon (648) will try to make up ground on second place but has to keep ahead of fourth place Kyle Woods (622) who is followed closely behind by fifth place runner #00 Trevor Thompson (607).
V8 Thunder Stocks – with one night left (Sept 19th) #17 Tristan Gill (1212 points) is sitting with a 77 point advantage over #05 Steve Brook (1135) who’s car has been steady all year long and with Gill going out with damage last week who knows. Behind them in third is Dave Gray Jr (1103) who also had heavy damage last week followed by Larry Anderson (968).
Mini Stocks – with two nights left (Sept 12 and 19) anything can happen. #36 Corry Young (1371) currently leads but with #51 Clark Hartman (1349) only 22 points back this one is up for grabs. Also don’t count out #35 Tim Tolton (1285) just 86 points back and with the way his car has come alive in the last few weeks he would love nothing else then to play spoiler. In fourth #7 Paul Boyd (1264) is really going to be looking at making some ground up on Tolton but will have to keep an eye out for #73 Scott Schlueter (1238) sitting in fifth, after a rough start to the season Schlueter has proven he will be a contender in 2015.
