Thank You From Sprint Into Spring
« on: March 25, 2015, 09:21:36 AM »
Now that the slush has settled after the inaugural Sprint Into Spring 200 at Full Throttle Motor Speedway I would like to thank everyone who made it such a great success!
Mark Dixon and the folks at Stoltz Sales and Service in Elmira, Listowel and Mildmay for coming through with the equipment we need to move a mountain of snow off the track and around the grounds.  And with all the hard work to be done never once did those CASE IH products give us second of trouble!
Leslie Motors in Harriston, Walkerton and Wingham for loaning us that lovely 2015 F150 to collect Food Bank donations in.  We cannot wait to get our hands on the Mustang and our own F150 and get them wrapped and on display for people to see.  They are going to be turning heads as they drive down the road anywhere they go!
The folks at Tim Horton’s in Durham who help us out with the coffee, hot chocolate and tea, they know it was for a good cause supporting the local Food Banks and didn’t turn us away like the Tim Horton’s in the other two towns did.  Darlene and her staff at New Orleans Pizza in Durham for providing us with pizza to sell increasing our menu to help feed the masses of people who came out!
We would also like to thank all the media that came out to support us and cover this historic race in person.  Race Time Radio, Joe and Sue Chisholm what can we say your support of this event and coverage has been fantastic!  Ashley McCubbin from On Pit Road for being there for the whole day taking pictures from the infield to give fans a view like no other.  Eastlink TV for coming and doing some taping, we will let everyone know when it will air so you can tune in.  The Mount Forest Confederate and Mike Wilson for being there all day also to cover the story for Metroland Media.
Plus we cannot forget the good people at Waterloo Brewing Co and also our ambassador Amanda Lynn Mayhew who both had other engagements that day but provide us with commercials we were able to play to give fans an example of the type of quality show to expect this coming season.
I would also like to thank all the staff at Full Throttle Motor Speedway that came out all week getting things ready.  Along with all the volunteers that jumped in at a moment’s notice to help us out with things from lining up cars to helping with the scoring; it was a great team effort!
I would also like to thank the “Boss” Gord Bennett Mr Full Throttle himself for coming up with this great idea to kick off the racing season and help the local Food Banks at the same time.  It took a lot of effort, time and money on his part to pull this race off and it was appreciated by the majority of drivers taking part but there is always that few that think the rules don’t apply to them and taking part in this race or any race is a right not a privilege, but that’s a topic for later.
Finally to all the fans that came out from across the Province THANK YOU! You are the reason why we do what we do and your support of our local Food Banks was amazing.  The looks on the volunteers faces when I drop everything off was priceless, they had no idea of the support they would get from the racing community.
It was a fantastic day for a great cause and we look forward to see you all again May 1st when its warmer!
