Are these for real:

NASCAR Canadian Tire Series  $40  (Plus note Mosport is charging $30 at the gate)
ASA/OSCAAR  $40
AVSS/CVM $30     (Last Delaware was $20, plus this year ISMA is $30)
OSS $30  (a bit pricey for 10-15 cars)
LM $30

For Cayuga yes. If you plan on going it would be worth buying the season pass for $99.99. Just the 2 NCTS and the 2 OSS races are $140.00 for 1 adult.

Agreed- The Cayuga package is a great deal and even if you dont use the 4 tickets yourself you can share the package with a freind.
P.S.- The Cayuga shows are going to be as good as they were in the 70's- Full feilds and full grand stands, plenty of parking, camping and even night shows for the spectators.
I will say one thing for the new Cayuga Speedway Park. They are busting thier butts to please the fans and the racers which no one has even attempted to do for years.
Keep up the good work Cayuga !!

I'll third that. As of now, a season's pass is a sweetheart deal.

hope they plug the pass real good as they couldn't draw flies when charging $25.00 for previous Cascar races. Maybe the walkup price for the OSS should have been a little cheaper for an unknown commodity and until the series is established.

That sounds great but having been to those shows in the 70s what makes you think they are going to have 40 plus car entries where you had to actually qualify to get in the show like in the 70s ?
Has anyone got an estimated car count ?

As far as filling the grandstand , has there been any promotion for the first race at all ? The people I speak to are either negative about the series or ambivalent so I just don't know how or where they are going to draw all these people from .  What type of numbers do you think they will pull for the first race ?

Same comments from me as the last show at Cayuga last fall.  I can handle the ticket price, but to charge me 50 for my motorhome to camp, not going to happen.

Camping is 200 a week at Bristol for the cup shows, I pay 80 because I don't want, or need, hookups.

Didn't go to the last show at Cauyga, one of our all time favourite tracks, even considering that when I took my future wife to her first race there in 1976 she got knocked down in the pits by a late model, will not be paying their camping fees this year.

Its hard to make the fans happy and I cant say that the cost of camping, race day tickets, and party time is applicable in comparison to other deals available in race tracks across North America, but I will say that we live here, not in Daytona or Bristol, so you have to learn to make the best of what is offered to you as race fans. If Cayuga is going to offer up the best deal available to you as race fans, they are going to offer you something that they think makes sence for all concerned.
Here is a new idea for all you race fans. Why not email the race track, Atn: Carrol, This is what I think would make a great race event...
This is the input Cayuga is looking for from race fans and I know they would appreciate the input and idea's.
In short- the new Cayuga Speedway isint all about taking money, instead they believe in making the fans happy, inturn putting on the type of shows that race fans will enjoy, support, and tell there freinds about.
This group of new track promoters want to give something back to the fans, at the same time make money in order to keep the level of race shows at a level of expectation for everyone to enjoy and endorse.
Racing is alive and well in Canada, so support it instead of bashing it !!
Cayuga Speedway is well known across the USA as one of the greatest short tracks in North America, and everyone should be happy that its in our backyard, not in Daytona and not in Bristol.
Race fans are very fickle people, as well as race competitors, and as well race track promoters.
Designing a show that makes everyone happy is a very hard goal to achive, but at least they are trying.
Johnny Rutherford once said- " For everyone that races, at every level, on any track, makes you a racer and the 30 lap feature you may run is as big as the Indy 500 in a drivers eyes and a race fans expectations. Racing starts at grass routes and will remain there as long as men will race cars and race fans will cheer the on".
