there was talk on another site about them flipping the back and front straights and building new grandstands on what is now the back straight.

They oughta leave the stands where they are and build additional stands on the backstretch - get that whole staduim thing going on. Ever come in late on a big night at Buxton? You end up sitting on the bottom row watching the roofs of the cars go by.

Regardless, that place has a lot of character and deserves to get some topnotch TLC.

I think Mihalco trucking has been the owner for a couple years now, but trucking is affected by the recession big time and it has trickled down to their improvements to the track. Unfortunately, regular SB attendees don't seem to post here. Wonder if the Hooker Bros have heard anything?

I always understood that the place was perpetually up for sale. I seem to recall them even advertising it a couple years ago.
