Brandon McFerran Finishes First and Fourth at Sunset Double Header
Brandon McFerran raced both nights at Sunset Speedway this past weekend and did well as he scored the hat trick on Saturday night while finishing fourth on Sunday night in the Dilley Dog 30.

On Saturday night, McFerran won both of his heats. In the feature, he would start deep in the field and make his way through the traffic to pick up his third Sunset Speedway feature victory of the season. It marks his second straight feature victory at Sunset after winning the July 20th feature.

On Sunday, McFerran would enter the invitational event, looking to score the double. He started off the night well as he would win the first heat after starting fourth. McFerran backed that up with a second place finish in his second heat after starting ninth.

Come feature time, he would start in the second position behind Barrie Speedway competitor Justin Holmes. Holmes grabbed the lead on the start of the race ahead of McFerran. McFerran would then fall to third when eventual race winner Doug Butler passed him on lap three. McFerran ran in third all the way till lap 20 when Billy Swartzenburg passed him to bump McFerran back to fourth.

McFerran would race hard the final 10 laps to bring home a solid fourth place finish in the Dilley Dog 30.
