We've recently aquired a mini sprint for the wife to drive. It's a 9 hp Honda gx 270 with seals on the head bolts. Does this mean it ran at GBS this year? There is no governor on it but otherwise looks stock other than a homemade exhaust pipe. I read through the rules and it says GBS requires a 13 hp carb. I measured mine and it's not 1" on the intake side more like .750 or .875. Does the bigger carb bolt on to the existing manifold or do you have fabricate one. Is a snorkel intake just a K&N clamped to a tube? Is so, are these all homade too? I noticed that they allow any valve springs. Can anyone tell me where to get some stiffer ones? I live around Simcoe so it would be nice to find someone local who knows these engines. Any help would be appreciated.
